Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) in DAS Trader Pro

1 min read

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an additional layer of security by requiring a verification code from an authenticator app in addition to your password. 2FA is available beginning with DAS Trader Pro version 5.8.2.6.

Before enabling 2FA in DAS Trader Pro, you must first install and configure an authenticator application on your mobile device. DAS Trader Pro currently supports:

  • Microsoft Authenticator
  • Google Authenticator

You can download either app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and complete the initial setup on your device before continuing. Other authenticator apps that support standard TOTP (time-based one-time password) authentication may also work with DAS Trader Pro, but they have not been officially tested or verified by DAS.

Enabling 2FA in DAS Trader Pro

  1. Open DAS Trader Pro and log in normally.
  2. From the top menu bar, navigate to Setup → Security Settings.
  3. In the Security Settings window, click Enable for 2FA Login.
  4. Read the prompt that appears and click Yes (or click No to stop setup).
  5. A QR code will appear on the screen. Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code.
  6. After scanning, the authenticator app will begin generating a rotating verification code for your DAS account.
  7. Enter the verification code from the authenticator app into DAS Trader Pro when prompted to complete the setup.
  8. Once setup is complete, 2FA will be enabled for future logins.

Logging In with 2FA

After 2FA has been enabled:

  1. Launch DAS Trader Pro and enter your username and password as usual.
  2. Open your authenticator app on your mobile device.
  3. Enter the current verification code displayed in the app when prompted by DAS Trader Pro.
  4. Complete the login process.
